Drink Up: A Toast to Prince with a Raspberry Beret from Legendary NOLA Bartender


Arguably one of the most classic bars in all of New Orleans is Arnaud’s French 75 in the French Quarter, and behind that bar is one of the most recognizable and longest running bar managers in all of NOLA: Chris Hannah. Swig’s Kristen Oliveri spoke with Hannah just a day after the news of music legend Prince’s death. While Hannah’s favorite cocktail to make (and drink) is the Creole, he often finds himself making the classic French 75 that is certainly a fan favorite in New Orleans. But on that night, Hannah and his fellow bartenders were making the beloved Raspberry Beret to pay homage to a musical legend, in a very musical town.
